Dogfight

This game was inspired by the 1983 C64 game 'Super Dogfight' written by R.W.Stevens. It has been coded in Java and runs as an applet. It is a two-player aerial combat game where each player controls a WWI-style biplane equipped with a primitive machine gun. Each successful hit on the enemy plane reduces it's airworthiness until eventually it is forced to crash land. The remaining strength of each biplane is shown as a coloured bar at the top of the screen. Good luck!

Controls

Player 1, flying the red biplane, can turn their aircraft using the 'A' and 'D' keys on the keyboard, with the machine gun being operated by the 'S' key.

Player 2, flying the blue biplane, can turn their aircraft using the 'J' and 'L' keys on the keyboard, with the machine gun being operated by the 'K' key.

The game can be paused/unpaused by clicking anywhere in the applet window.
